This program provides an awesome environment for learning. Playgroups enables the kids to learn more about themselves. It also helps teachers and parents discover what the children are capable of. Playgroups comprises of various activities involving play, arts, music and of course… even more play. Through the years, Kids’ Cabin has discovered, and is mastering, the importance of play and mingling with peers in early childhood education. Play has done wonders for all who have walked through Kids’ Cabin’s doors, and the magic of play has never failed to amaze parents and teachers alike.
Kids’ Cabin welcomes mistakes and questions and values arts. We understand and take advantage of arts. Coloring outside the lines, painting with fingers, exploring paint and clay, using pencils and crayons, and making a complete mess of the arts room; these are all part of learning and exploring a child’s full potential.
What is equally important as learning the alphabet? Understanding what the words formed out of letters. Storytelling and nursery rhymes are keys to effective reading. These are only two of the playful and creative techniques Kids’ Cabin teachers use in developing the reading skills of kids who have only begun exploring words and sounds.
Beginning Reading & Writing
Kids’ Cabin has learned the best and most effective technique in teaching a child to read and write: NO PRESSURE. Enabling the kids to explore their abilities at the pace they are comfortable with results in a happier and more effective experience in reading and writing. An uncommon technique, and is probably unconventional, but is a technique proven through experience. A happy learning child is the Kids’ Cabin dream.
Kids’ Cabin Preparatory School, Inc. offers Nursery, Pre-Kinder and Kindergarten. Our programs adapt to the individual, and not the other way around. KCPSI is an environment that allows kids to freely express who they are. This environment is a host of love, trust, and care. An environment that allows children to build relationships with peers and teachers.
Tutorials are one-on-one sessions that serve as the students’ after class support system. The teachers at Kid’ Cabin guide the students through advance readings, reviews and assignments in these sessions. They also do intensive reviews for quizzes and tests, and for subjects that are of difficulty for the students.
Music lessons are one-on-one sessions with a music expert, on the child’s instrument of choice; either a piano, keyboard, violin or guitar.
Kids’ Cabin provides painting lessons for kids 4 and up, all year round. These lessons are around two hours per session, covering basics of sketching, pointillism, shadow and contouring, and acrylic painting.
Baking and cooking lessons are amazing experiences for the kids. They learn how the food they eat are prepared, at the same time, get to experience how it feels to cook and bake, and how to behave properly, taking extra care in the kitchen. Based on years of experience, children adore and never forget the first time they ever prepared a meal for themselves.
Sports lessons are after-school sessions that focus on either swimming or tennis.
